So, March Day in the life fell by the wayside, but I’m back…
Started the day off with a fruit and nut bar and a cup fo tea.
Watched the BBC news with Vernon.
Washed my hair and put on sunscreen.
Did some work on the computer.
Made oatmeal with bananas and cinnamon.
Took the train to Manhattan…
read the New Yorker…
and spent the morning photographing apartments to advertise. It later turned out that for various reasons I couldn’t use any of them so it was a morning wasted.
Except for the fact that I did purchase a few spring socks on the way.
And I stopped at Duane Park Patisserie, which I had been hearing so much about.
Bought an almond cookie and a little lemon cake.
The lemon cake was amazing. Fluffy and light with a tangy cream filling.
Got on the train at Chambers…
and off at Bergen to meet my friend Donna for lunch at Sun in Bloom. We had kale salads, which I forgot to photograph. They were delicious.
Strolled back home through sunny Park Slope.
Started a few loads of laundry.
Did some more work.
And took the train back to SoHo to go to a volunteer orientation session for Housing Works.
And back on the train at Prince Street.
Love the tile work in this station.
Got the laundry out of the dryer on the way upstairs.
Heated some leftover pasta. It was better than it looks.
Did the dishes.
Folded the laundry.
Wrapped a few little presents for our friends’ new baby.
Took a shower.
V. came home around 10pm.
We had a glass of wine.
And watched Jon Stewart.
